"Let's explore the SDGs on our university campus!" On-campus field workshop held
Following on from last year, the "Earth and Environment" class held a workshop on the SDGs on our campus. Over the course of six classes, students were divided into groups across grades and courses to conduct fieldwork on campus, and presented the SDGs they discovered during the fieldwork in class on July 18th.
Each group independently planned their route using a campus map, conducted fieldwork, and discussed and explored the SDGs they discovered. They then compiled their findings on poster paper and PowerPoint presentations to make them easier to understand for others.
On the day of the presentation, each group gave a unique presentation about the attractions and challenges of our campus from the perspective of the SDGs, and proposals for making these attractions even more appealing or improving the challenges. If you pay close attention, you'll see that there are many SDGs present even in the spaces on campus where you spend your time every day. This year's presentation was visited by several faculty and staff members, including staff in charge of campus facility management, who shared comments and questions. It was a new opportunity for students and faculty members to think together about the SDGs on campus and exchange opinions.
