The 2025 Long-Term Internship Results Reporting Session was held

April 2026, 2

A report meeting for the long-term internship, in which the students work as trainees (interns) at businesses in Maebashi City, was held at our university on February 16th. Representatives from the businesses that helped the students and companies that are considering accepting them gathered to see the culmination of the students' training.

This class, which began as a rare initiative nationwide, allowing students to take on a four-month long internship as part of their regular curriculum, is now in its 11th year.
To date, 101 students have participated in this program, and many have used it as an opportunity to think about their future through working in the real world.

This year, eight second- and third-year students undertook practical training in Maebashi City and private companies. The students participated with the desire to "put what they learned to use in their job hunting" and "try out the skills and what they've learned," but what was striking at the results presentation was that when asked what they "learned and gained," they mentioned many of the realizations that arise from interacting with others, such as the importance of responsibility and trust in the workplace, the importance of collaboration, and the difficulty and joy of communicating.

In response to the presentation, the people at the internship site gave warm words of encouragement, such as "Be proud of your growth over the past four months. Continue to gain experience and hone your skills even further." For the students, the encouragement from those who have been watching over them will undoubtedly be a great source of support when they enter society.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to GN Holdings Co., Ltd., JINS Co., Ltd., Maebashi City Hall, Maebashi City Children's Cultural Center, and all the citizens who have been involved in our work.
