The Digital Co-Creation Research Center at KYOAI GAKUEN UNIVERSITY held a press conference on Monday, July 14th at the university to announce that it had been selected for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's FY2025 International Standards Development for Energy Conservation, etc. (International Electrostandards Field).
This research and development aims to ensure stable operation of renewable energy and strengthen cybersecurity in power systems, with the aim of creating an international standard from Gunma to the world.
The press conference was attended by guest of honour by Mr. Hisahisa Fukuda, President and CEO of Japan Communications Inc. and Director of Mebuku Ground Co., Ltd., who gave a congratulatory speech. Congratulatory speeches were also given by Mr. Keiichi Uruga, Representative Director of Maebashi Design Commission, Mr. Masamitsu Iinuma, Senior Managing Executive Officer of INTEC Inc., and Mr. Selvakumar Manickam, Director of the Cybersecurity Research Centre at Universiti Sains Malaysia, marking the start of this research and development project amidst celebrations from the local community, industry, and the world.

Additionally, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) introduced its International Standards Development Project and its FY7 International Standards Development Project for Energy Conservation, etc. In addition, as part of the research content introduction, with the cooperation of INTEC Inc., a remote control demonstration of actual household appliances was conducted using the latest power aggregation service "UCHITAS," which was available for everyone to see.
In the future, we will collaborate with the International Electrotechnical Commission, an international standardization organization that creates international standards in the fields of electrical and electronic technology, and will also promote collaboration with prefectures, municipalities, and local companies to promote glocal research that contributes to the coexistence of international and local communities.

KYOAI GAKUEN UNIVERSITY will be opening a new faculty in April 2026."Faculty of Digital Co-Creation (tentative name, application for establishment pending)"Prior to the establishment of this center, the Digital Co-Creation Research Center was established in April 2025.
