Project selected by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology

By utilizing systems such as the University Collaboration Promotion Corporation System and the Special System for Curriculum, multiple universities can build strong collaborative relationships, thereby supporting management reforms through improved operational efficiency and mutual complementarity of courses offered.
To foster highly skilled professionals who will drive growth sectors such as digital and green technologies, and to enable ambitious universities to implement reforms such as converting their faculties to focus on these growth areas, a fund will be established to provide stable, flexible, and continuous support, allowing universities to approach these initiatives with predictability.
The aim is to actively incorporate digital technologies into universities, create an environment that contributes to "realizing learner-centered education" and "improving the quality of learning," concretize educational methods for higher education in the post-COVID era, and disseminate the results.
Starting in fiscal year 27, the "Regional Revitalization Promotion Project by Local Knowledge Hub Universities" will be implemented with the aim of attracting people, who are central to regional revitalization, to regional areas. This will be achieved by supporting universities' efforts to collaborate with local governments and companies to create attractive employment opportunities for students and to implement necessary reforms to their educational curricula to cultivate the human resources that the region needs.
This project aims to support universities that implement advanced initiatives that align with the new directions outlined by the Education Rebuilding Implementation Council and other bodies, in order to further promote the university education reforms that the government should be pursuing.
Selected in fiscal year 2014Regional Knowledge Hub Development Project
This project aims to strengthen the function of universities as central entities within local communities, where diverse human resources, information, and technologies that contribute to solving problems gather, by supporting universities and other institutions that collaborate with local governments and other communities to promote education, research, and social contributions that are university-wide and regionally oriented.
This project aims to cultivate the three essential elements of global talent: (1) language skills and communication abilities, (2) initiative and proactiveness, a challenging spirit, cooperativeness and flexibility, a sense of responsibility and mission, and (3) understanding of different cultures and a Japanese identity. In addition, it targets initiatives that promote the globalization of university education, with the goal of fostering abilities commonly required of individuals who will support the core of future society, such as broad general knowledge and deep expertise, problem-solving skills, teamwork and leadership, public spirit and ethics, and media literacy.
