KYOAI Career Gate (KCG)

KYOAI's original learning support tools

"A unique e-portfolio system that allows you to record and self-evaluate your four years of learning"
"KYOAI Career Gate" is a system that allows all students to keep an online portfolio (a collection of deliverables that demonstrate their learning, skills, and achievements in one place) and record their four-year learning journey. Specifically, it is a place to store daily records of learning activities such as volunteer activities and study abroad, as well as in-class learning and reflections, reading history, and records of qualifications obtained. By collecting and accumulating these deliverables that demonstrate their learning, skills, and achievements in one place on a daily basis, it will be easier to reflect on their own growth and learning process four years from now, and it is expected to enable more effective self-analysis, which is required for job hunting and further education.

Record student activity

"Activity Record"

Record on-campus activities (language training, on-campus events, club activities, circle activities, etc.), off-campus activities (volunteer activities, extracurricular activities, part-time jobs, etc.), class reviews (memorable classes, learning, outlook, etc.), reading history (class-related, hobbies, etc.), and qualification acquisition (TOEIC score records, various certifications, etc.).

By recording your activities, you can objectively view your strengths and weaknesses. You will also be able to see what you can do and what you want to do.

Visualize your own growth and perform self-evaluation

"The Power of 12 Mutual Love"

For the "12 Powers of Mutual Love," participants will self-assess and check their level of mastery for each ability. Self-assessment is based on each activity record and supporting evidence. The assessed level is displayed on a radar chart, and growth is visualized, allowing you to clearly see how much you have mastered!

"Review of the school year"

Students reflect on their learning over the past year and self-evaluate what skills they have gained based on supporting evidence. They then confirm the level of their self-evaluation and the recorded evidence with their instructor during a reflection interview. By repeatedly recording their own growth, explaining it to others, and reflecting on their self-evaluation, students create a cycle of thinking, learning, and acting independently, allowing them to grow as independent learners.

Making learning history public

"KCG+Showcase"

By providing your individual URL and number, you can make your activity records recorded in KCG available to people outside the university on the web as "KCG+Showcase." This can be used by people outside the university as evidence of your growth, and can also be used as a portfolio to promote yourself when job hunting, going on to higher education, etc.
