Message to students

Language is the basis for our thoughts. It is our means of communication. It is the way we express our emotions. Learning a second language is therefore not only an opportunity to further our life goals, but also it enables us to increase our knowledge, meet different people, and better understand ourselves. Learning Japanese has had a profound impact on my life and career, and I hope to help my students gain some of those same benefits of multilingualism.

About the research

In his masterpiece Cosmos, Carl Sagan said, 'A book is proof that humans are capable of working magic.' Books give us a window where we can see the wisdom of the past and the imagination of countless minds. Through literature, we explore the depths of human emotion, culture, and thought. In the process, we find ourselves. I help my students to experience that magic firsthand and let literature transform their world.
